Rishikesh or Hrishikesh is a city located in the foothills of the Himalayas in western Uttarakhand. It’s also known as the Yoga Capital of the World and is under the Dehradun, the state capital, district. It’s the seventh most populated city in the state with around 322,825 people as of 2021. Rishikesh is regarded as one of the holiest places for Hindus. Hrishikesh has hosted the annual International Yoga Festival on the first week of March since 1989.

Neer Gaddu is located on the Rishikesh-Badrinath route about 5 and 7 kilometers from Lakshman Jhula. As they crash down the stony rocks, these natural waterfalls exude their empyrean beauty. During the summer, numerous people flock to the Neergarh waterfalls to cool down in the surrounding stream.
Two tiny bridges have been built across the waterfalls, with a few resting businesses nearby.
You may get closer to these beautiful waterfalls by taking a short hike.

Marine Drive or Astha Path is a walking path along the River Ganga where citizens of Hrishikesh come to take some fresh air or morning and evening walks. The route is around 20-25 feet wide. To access this pathway, you must descend around 50 steps from the adjacent road, assuring that automobiles will not be able to use it to prevent it from automobiles traffic.
